I am asking for prayer for a close friend of my mother's who is having surgery at the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York today. This woman, Charlene, has been fighting cancer for several years and recent tests revealed six small tumors in her lung. At this time the prognosis is not very good, and although Charlene is of course frightened she is hopeful and has worked very hard to remain focused. Thank you all so very much.
